Description
Central Office staff work closely with schools, offering a wealth of expertise to underpin schools' own knowledge. Our specialist departments, including HR, finance, technology, strategy and performance, estates, and marketing, work alongside dedicated school improvement teams. By joining us, you will provide ongoing support to schools, ultimately improving the outcomes of our pupils.


Contract type: 1 x Permanent, full time, 37.5 hours per week, flexible working

1x Fixed Term (Maternity Cover), Full Time, 37.5 per week, flexible working


We have an exciting opportunity for forward thinking, talented individuals to join our payroll and pensions team based at our Head Office in Peterborough.


The Role


The main purpose of this role is to provide administrative support to the Payroll Manager in the processing of monthly and annual pension returns and reports.

This role is also responsible for a small allocation of payroll data, this encompasses the keying of static and transactional data through to management reporting.


About You

Ideally you will have the following desirable attributes:

  • Experience of using computerised systems
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Able to work in a calm and methodical manner, and deal with high volumes of work
  • Experience of working in and supporting a busy office environment
  • Experience of pension administration, particularly Teacher Pensions and Local Government Pension Schemes is desirable but not essential as training will be given
  • Excellent ICT skills and experience in the use of Office software
  • High degree of discretion in dealing with confidential information
  • High level of initiative whilst working alone
  • Ability to prioritise and proactively manage a demanding workload whilst working to deadlines
  • Excellent team working skills
  • A strong customer focus
