What a typical day looks like as a Health & Safety Officer at Swift:

As our Health and Safety expert, you'll be responsible for actively promoting a Safety First culture across the organization, advising the Board and Senior Management team on the implications of current and emerging legislation and maintaining the company's ISO 45001 standard.


Other responsibilities of the role include:

  • Report compliance with Health and Safety systems which meet specific requirements, such as accident reporting, near miss reporting, risk assessments and COSHH assessments.
  • Monitor compliance with the company Health and Safety policies and procedures on a day to day basis, undertaking safety walks and advising managers on areas of noncompliance for action.
  • Perform internal audits to evaluate the effectiveness of Health and Safety systems and procedures, identify and be part of implementing improvements.

Who are we looking for?


To be considered for this role, you should have a minimum of three years' experience in a Health and Safety role, hold a relevant professional qualification (such as a NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent), have excellent organizational, planning, and communication skills, and be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
