The
Head of Risk is a new role required to lead the Group's risk management activity and monitoring processes.

The role of
Head of Risk will
support all areas of Churchill in the identification of key risks, assessing mechanisms to manage key risks whilst also overseeing the operation and effectiveness of the risk management policy, risk framework, and reporting across the Group.

No two days will be the same.

As Head of Risk
you'll be:

  • Managing the ownership, implementation, and management of the Enterprise Risk Management framework.
  • Managing the implementation of policies and procedures in relation to risk
  • Overseeing the development and maintenance of the risk governance arrangements, including governance documentation and risk tolerance and appetite approach.
  • Delivering training and mentoring programs for Enterprise Risk Management.
  • Keeping abreast of the latest best practice risk management practices and corporate governance requirements and assessing the impact of new developments
  • Maintaining the Group strategic risk register and working with regional Executive Teams to maintain regional risk registers, monitor and track implementation of mitigation plans
  • Assisting the Group Finance Director in ensuring appropriate assurance arrangements are in place for the Group, mapped to the risk framework
  • Working with the Head of Information Security and GDPR Programme Manager to provide assurance on the risks associated with Information Technology, Data, and Business Processes. Develop and oversee appropriate arrangements for Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery planning across the Group

As Head of Risk
you'll have:

  • 10+ years of relevant professional experience
  • Expert knowledge of Risk Management frameworks
  • Evidence of designing, implementing, and embedding Enterprise Risk Management frameworks in large, complex organisations
  • Experience in expanding and embedding Risk Management Information Systems is highly desirable
  • Risk Management accreditation or certification desirable
  • Quantitative Risk Management experience
This key role sits on the Finance SLT with good visibility and exposure to C-suite/operating board. Your ability to work in an evolving, fast-paced organisation will be key to early success in the role.
