Location:
Hoddesdon (Remote & Site work)

Hours of Work:
Monday to Thursday 08.30am till 5.00pm, Friday 08.30am till 4.00pm

Are you a Technical Sales/Project Engineer who has a qualification in M&E engineering, worked with HVAC or refrigeration and has technical experience?

Responsibilities:


  • Deliver timely and accurate technical advice, support, equipment selections and quotations to other team members and customers
  • Preparation of quotation in line with business requirements, ensuring correct selection and estimating
  • Obtain best prices from approved suppliers for preparation of quotations
  • Keeping records of job costing / estimating
  • Completing technical checks to ensure compliance on new orders with original quotation / equipment capabilities
  • To provide effective handover and support to the Projects and / or Service teams
  • Provide support to Project Managers on site related activities
  • Provide technical assistance direct to customers and inhouse service engineers on the full range of Swegon / Blue Box products as well as a range of other 3rd party manufacturers units
  • Elevated level of customer service and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of customers, contractors, and suppliers
  • Responsible for checking and verifying supplier order acknowledgements and confirmations upon receipt, where required
  • Ability to work as part of a team or in a standalone role using initiative
  • Ability to lead with any issues that may develop on products / designs and work through to a suitable resolution
  • Requirement to visit Hoddesdon and other Swegon offices and customer sites around the UK
  • Maintain and update the company's bespoke sales database
  • Ensuring processes are in line with QA work instructions and procedures using controlled forms and templates
  • Provide information to Product Managers on any technical, warranty issues or product failures
  • Generate reports as requested
Person Specification - Essential

  • GCSE / A Level or equivalent, (including IT)
  • A recognised Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, HVAC, or refrigeration qualification, or to have gained enough knowledge in these fields through your career to date
  • Computer literate in MS Office, ERP, and database operating systems
  • CSCS Skills Card
  • Valid UK Driving Licence
Desirable

  • IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Knowledge of CDM Regulations

Project Management Accreditation desirable or to have gained sufficient knowledge through your career to date

  • M&E Engineering Experience
  • AutoCAD utilisation and experience
  • Experience of using bespoke operating CRM systems in a sales and / or service environment
Experience working within ISO quality standards.
