About Us:


The Financial Systems Team sits within Financial Management and supports the use of various finance systems and related processes whilst promoting compliance with Council policies and financial regulations/controls.


The Role:


This role is for a financial systems officer to be part of a team which provides operational support to the organisation, for corporate financial system related activity.

This will primarily be processing and supporting the Income management activity to include accounting and reconciliation processes. You will also provide expert related support to internal and external stakeholders across several systems.


This role requires good knowledge of internal and external finance processes across specialist areas including income management, banking, accounts payable, accounts receivable and reporting.


You will also work closely with the technical team to assist in the troubleshooting, development, and implementation of all systems supported by the Team.


This role is key in supporting other finance teams and internal staff and will require the dealing of queries in an efficient and effective manner.

You will also cover for and represent the Senior Financial Systems Officer in their absence and across different forums.

About You:


You will have good experience of using and supporting ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems such as SAP and Agresso and Oracle, with specialist knowledge of income management solutions and related processes.

You will have experience of supporting finance systems and troubleshooting, with good attention to detail.

You will have a track record of achieving deadlines individually and through collaborative team working.
