Deputy Scheduler to join a dynamic regional company recognised for developing and training its staff to succeed in their roles.
Based in
Portsmouth, you will join them on a
full-time, permanent basis, and in return, you will receive a
competitive salary of £25,000 - £27,000 and excellent benefits.

Key responsibilities as the Deputy Scheduler will include:
- Working closely with the team to ensure efficient and effective resourcing of repair appointments and materials deliveries
- Helping plan for future jobs and appointments to meet the demand through operatives and subcontractors
- Raising any concerns with Supervisors/Contract Manager so that proactive plans are made
- Allocating the right operatives, based on their skills, availability and locality to the jobs that are nearing completion to ensure the company meet appointment/response times and minimise travel
- Highlighting issues and trends to the Supervisor/Contract Manager in relation to quality of workmanship, or task productivity where the expected demonstrated time for the trade and task has been exceeded.
- Constantly monitoring the appointment screens and statuses to identify potential issues before they happen, making the correct decisions to rectify and own the issue through to resolution.
- Ensuring all information and invoices are on jobs before costing to capture all costs and liaise with the job owner if any clarifications are required.
- Reviewing and lossmaking jobs and providing detailed information to the Contract Manager
What our client are looking for in their Deputy Scheduler:
- GCSE or equivalent grade C or above in English
- Relevant qualification in Business Administration or Customer Services (Advantageous)
- Ideally have a full driving licence
- Experience working in an Operations Centre of a Building Maintenance Contract (Desirable)
- Knowledge of National Housing Schedule of Rates (Desirable)
- Basic knowledge of building maintenance trades and the tasks/activities that can be undertaken by each trade group
- Good geographical understanding of the Isle of Wight area, including the best routes and travel times between different locations
