- Prospect, qualify, and close new business opportunities for managed services, with a focus on AWS, Azure, M365, EndPoint Management& Networking solutions.
- Translate technical features into outcomes:
- Lead discovery sessions to uncover customer needs in areas.
- Building and nurturing relationships with key partners to identify opportunities and drive revenue.
- Act as a trusted advisor by aligning networking and cloud solutions with client business outcomes.
- Manage and develop client relationships throughout the full life-cycle of the account. Including pre-sales, onboarding, ongoing account and project management and monthly/quarterly meetings. Collaborating with internal teams to develop tailored solutions that meet partner needs.
- Driving enablement and education initiatives to support partner success.
- Ability to explain technical solutions in
plain business terms for non-technical decision-makers. - Monitoring market trends and competitor activity to inform strategic decisions.
- Reporting on performance metrics and pipeline development to senior leadership.
- Gathering new business leads through various sources to reach targets
- Maintain disciplined CRM usage, accurate forecasting, and strong pipeline health
To set you up for success, we are looking for the following skills and experience: Proven experience in selling managed services, ideally within the IT channel. - Strong understanding of partner ecosystems and indirect sales models.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strategic mindset with a hands-on approach to execution.
- Networking:
- Understand firewalls, switches, routers, and Wi-Fi setups.
- Know what uptime, bandwidth, and redundancy mean to a business.
- Servers & Virtualization:
- On-prem vs. cloud-hosted servers.
- Virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Why companies move workloads to virtual machines or the cloud.
- Understanding managed services contracts, pricing models (per user/device, tiered services, etc.), and how Service Level Agreements (SLAs) work.
- Experience with CRM tools and sales reporting.
