Holiday Entitlement:25 days, plus statutory bank holidays


Salary:
£ per annum dependent on qualifications and experience (plus discretionary bonus, pension contribution, health scheme _etc._)


Location:
Sheffield, UK


Responsibilities:


  • Organising and filing of periodicals, papers and scientific resources.
  • Ordering papers and scientific resources for the Simcyp libraries.
  • Ensuring that all Copyright guidelines are adhered to.
  • Administering literature discovery tools.
  • Assisting scientists with preparation and submission of academic manuscripts to scientific journals.
  • Publication searching using online resources e.g. Pubmed, Google scholar, EBSCO Discovery Service.
  • Deliver training on library resources available to scientists.
  • Coordinating the collation and analysis of scientific materials for PR purposes.
  • General office administration.

Qualifications:

Essential

  • Attention to detail.
  • Organisational skills.
  • Evidence of individual motivation.
  • Familiarity with internet search engines.
  • Evidence of ability to learn new skills.

Desirable

  • Experience in scientific/library related work.
  • Familiarity with specific scientific search engines and databases.
  • Experience with referencing software (e.g. EndNote).
  • Experience of working with people/customers.
  • Experience in a role demanding attention to detail (eg proof reading)
  • Experience with EBSCO Discovery Service and OpenAthens authentication.
