This role is based at our Headquarters currently 101 Newington Causeway, London, SE1 6BN. During 2023 we will be moving to new offices at Denmark Hill London, SE5


Hours: 35 per week minimum (hybrid working - 40% minimum attendance in the office)

Job Summary:


As a Trust Fundraising Assistant, you will play an integral part in supporting the Trust Fundraising Unit and work alongside the wider Philanthropy team (Major Donors and Corporate Partnerships).

You will be supporting the Trust Fundraising Unit by processing income, researching new funding opportunities and managing a portfolio of smaller funders that support The Salvation Army's programme of work.


Across the United Kingdom and Ireland The Salvation Army is delivering a diverse range of services and activities to support some of the most vulnerable people in our communities.

This includes working with people experiencing homelessness and fighting addiction, supporting victims of modern slavery and human trafficking, and providing debt and employment advice.

Key Responsibilities:


You will be responsible for ensuring that trust fundraising income is processed accurately and that funders are thanked appropriately and in a timely manner.

You will provide administrative support across the team and work collaboratively with other internal teams and departments to ensure the smooth and effective running of the trust fundraising team.

You will also be responsible for researching funding opportunities and securing income from a portfolio of donors, contributing towards the team's annual income target.
