There is an opportunity for a qualified social worker to join our Fostering team based in East London with effect from 16/02/2024.

Role Profile
- supervise and manage foster care placements in accordance with the UK National Standards for Foster Care, Code of Practice and Fostering Services Regulations
- manage and support your allocated caseload
- recruit, assess, train and support foster carers
- assess new foster carers' suitability
- update Form Fs for existing carers
- produce and keep up to date reports detailing both initial and continuing approvals
- strive to improve the services to children 'Looked After' and their carers
- offer post placement expert support
- assist with devising and facilitating training programmes with other team members
- other professional duties as necessary

Person Profile

  • HCPC registered
- diligent and passionate
- effectively promotes positive outcomes
- establish trusting relationships with carers at assessment stage


The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate that they can act, at all times, to promote equality of opportunities.
