Randox is currently looking to recruit a Clinical Scientific Specialist to conduct the routine clinical diagnostic testing and the day-to-day management of the RCL's clinical laboratory.

This newly created role will be based out of the Science Park in Antrim.


Responsibilities:


  • The operation of various automated analytical systems in operation within the RCLS laboratories
  • Running kit QC's from internal Randox departments
  • To ensure best practice in the provision of a clinical diagnostic service and to keep up to date with latest developments and trends in clinical diagnostics
  • Ensuring that the analytical facilities and testing equipment provided by RCLS are maintained and developed in line with market and regulatory needs
  • Ensure development of new test methods is established to be within, and fulfill, regulatory requirements
  • Ensuring sound and secure chain of custody is maintained throughout the analytical process
  • Ensuring that all Technical and Quality documentation and records of analytical results are fully completed, stored securely and archived as required
  • Stock Management and Forecasting
  • Recording and Monitoring of temperature for Laboratory and equipment

Essential Criteria:


  • Degree level qualification in a life science or related degree.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication and organisational skills
  • Demonstrate excellent leadership qualities
  • Ability to work on their own and within a team

Desirable:


  • Managerial Experience
  • Working knowledge of Health & Safety including CoSHH
