Randox is currently looking to recruit a Clinical Scientific Specialist to conduct the routine clinical diagnostic testing and the day-to-day management of the RCL's clinical laboratory.

This newly created role will be based out of the Science Park in Antrim.

Responsibilities:

The operation of various automated analytical systems in operation within the RCLS laboratories
Running kit QC's from internal Randox departments
To ensure best practice in the provision of a clinical diagnostic service and to keep up to date with latest developments and trends in clinical diagnostics
Ensuring that the analytical facilities and testing equipment provided by RCLS are maintained and developed in line with market and regulatory needs
Ensure development of new test methods is established to be within, and fulfill, regulatory requirements
Ensuring sound and secure chain of custody is maintained throughout the analytical process
Ensuring that all Technical and Quality documentation and records of analytical results are fully completed, stored securely and archived as required
Stock Management and Forecasting
Recording and Monitoring of temperature for Laboratory and equipment

Essential Criteria:

Degree level qualification in a life science or related degree.
Possess excellent verbal and written communication and organisational skills
Demonstrate excellent leadership qualities
Ability to work on their own and within a team

Desirable:

Managerial Experience
Working knowledge of Health & Safety including CoSHH
