An exciting opportunity for a permanent Band 4 Technical Instructor has arisen to become part of the Enhanced Intermediate Care and Rehab Service in South Ayrshire.

This team is a multi-disciplinary team which provides rapid response service 7 days a week.

It aims to maximise the long term independence, choice and quality of life and as a consequence reduce the need for on-going support from formal services.

You will be required to carry out appropriate specialised treatment programmes.

This involves evaluating progress, altering treatment programmes and referring to appropriate professionals as required in order to maximise rehabilitation potential.

An HNC in Social Care or relevant qualification/experience is essential
Proven previous experience in direct work undertaken with clients in a health care setting. The ability to demonstrate understanding and knowledge of rehabilitation principles.
Relevant knowledge and understanding of medical conditions and indicators for re-assessment by appropriate clinicians.

You will require to have basic information technology skills.
Car driver is essential.


This is a dynamic and exciting post which supports patients with unnecessary acute hospital admission and facilitates safe discharge home as early as possible.

The post holder within the South Enhanced Intermediate Care & Rehab Service will proactively work with patients and their families promoting health, wellbeing, independence and self-management.

You will be working closely with local GP's, community teams, third sector, private sector and voluntary organisations.
As part of the multi-disciplinary team (MDT). You will provide a high standard of care to patients who have been delegated by registered members of the multi
- disciplinary team. They will support and enhance the role of individual team members by providing skilled assistance/ interventions in a variety of settings with direct and indirect supervision from MDT staff.
