The Client

With a mission to make B2B financemore simple, they're now providing a complete payment solution to more than 5000 SMEs.

With an exceptionally talented Leadership team they have recently closed a large funding round, attracting a host of world class Venture Capital firms and notable fintech Angel Investors, putting them in a fantastic position to continue their rapid growth.

This is an incredible opportunity to join a highly ambitious, bright and sociable team as the first finance hire, who are driving to become the next fintech success story.

With a brilliant office space in London, they have a relaxed approach to working fromhome, with most working on a hybrid basis.

The Role

As the first Finance employee you will be responsible for owning the running of the Finance function, reporting directly to the CEO.

Given the growth over the coming years the position is incredibly broad and requires the build out and ownership of day-to-day Finance, ownership of monthly and yearly accounts, management accounting, implementation of robust financial controls and the developmentof insightful analysis, production of FP&A and extensive ad-hoc projects to support product launch and international expansion initiatives alongside the CEO.

There is scope to build a team quickly here with significant exposure to investors.

Implement world class finance processes and systems
Own the accounting, tax and company filing including monthly and yearly accounts as well as regulatory reporting and ensuring FCA requirements are met
Build out financial planning and analysis (FP&A) with key analysis to support with strategic decision making
Develop and own the forecasting and budgeting process
Implement and ensure there are robust financial controls as the business scales
Business Partner with Tech teams and department heads to develop KPI's and insightful analysis
Work closely with the CEO on future funding rounds
Begin to build a worldclass finance team
Continuously review and improve processes and systems
Extensive Ad-Hoc projects to support the business as they grow

What we need to see (Essential):

Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
Extremely smart with excellent communication skills
Incredibly ambitious with a desire to continue learning
Passionate about startups
Willingness to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in across Finance

What we would like to see (Bonus):

Hands on experience in a fast growth scale-up or start-up
Fintech background
Commercially astute
Experience working in a regulated business (Fintech, Financial Services or Insurance)

Salary:
£80,000 - £110,000 + equity
