Description

We are looking for an experienced Trials Agronomist or Trainee Trials Agronomist who is passionate about potato production, has an eye for detail and who wants to develop as a researcher in this field.

The successful applicant will assist the Trials Manager with running the trials portfolio and assume responsibility for trials in East Anglia.

• Trial protocol organisation and implementation
• Seed and agrochemical procurement
• Trials work scheduling and grower communication
• Trial marking, planting and inseason trial walking and assessment
• Trial harvest and defect analysis of tuber samples
• Data analysis and reporting

• 2:1 / First Class Honours degree in agriculture
• Familiar with experimental design and statistical analysis methods and outputs
• A problem solver, able to work independently and as part of a team, and comfortable in a pressurised environment
• Have BASIS, FACTS, PA1 and PA6 _ training will be provided as necessary_
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programmes
• Full driving licence
