About the role
Our Finance team is growing We are building our Financial Regulatory Reporting function with a new Regulatory Reporting Accountant.

Reporting into the Regulatory Reporting Manager, you will be responsible for the preparation of regulatory reporting to the FCA and to assist in the preparation of the ICARA by owning the scenario, stress testing and Wind down plan calculations.


What you'll be doing

  • Ownership of financial regulatory reporting in Regdata including IFPR
  • Coordinate and complete FCA requests for information
  • Maintain knowledge of regulatory developments and regulatory reporting requirements
  • Ensure robust controls are in place to ensure data integrity between financial accounting and regulatory reporting and take responsibility for implementing any new controls
  • Prepare and manage the approval process for the public Disclosure document for Hargreaves Lansdown Asset Management Ltd
  • Responsible for updating and maintaining procedure manuals for the completion of regulatory returns
  • Accountability for monthly financial resilience reporting to the FCA
  • Complete FSCS workings and submissions
  • Designing and implementing ways to automate our work leveraging the technology in Workday
  • Responsible for preparing risk scenario assessments from the operational risk workshops
  • Assist in designing and modelling stress tests and their presentation in the ICARA
  • Develop and own capital and liquidity models to support planning

About you

  • Experience derived from the financial services industry
  • Extensive working knowledge of FCA regulatory requirements and the interpretation of rules including IFPR
  • Knowledge of internal control requirements and the ability to identify control weaknesses
  • Demonstrable expertise in writing and presenting board papers
  • Microsoft Excel expert, competent building and utilising complex models
  • Possess an analytical mindset, curious and confident to challenge
  • An effective and engaging communicator, able to present complex information in simple context, adapting your style to suit your audience
  • Accomplished in forging effective relationships at all levels, skilled at influencing, negotiating and managing challenging conversations with ease
  • Systems exposure: Workday/Adaptive Insights
  • CIMA/ACA or equivalent, complemented by commercial PQE

Interview process
Two stage process. Final interviewees will be invited to our offices.


Working Schedule
We are based in Bristol, BS1 5HL. This role is a permanent role and full time.

We have returned to the office, however for this role we offer a hybrid flexible working pattern to enable you the option of working from home and coming into the office.
