Description
This is a roles in a fantastic award winning Nursery in Clapham, with spacious indoors and outdoor space.

The Nursery Setting has 4 rooms and they are currently looking for a Nursery Room Leader or Nursery Room manager.


This is a full time role working 40 hours a week, with competitive salary paying up to £28,000 a year.


Nursery Room Leader Duties include but not limited to:

  • Full responsibility of the room
  • Carry out risk assessments
  • Lead the team of other staff in the room and train them to become strong
practitioners and create a nice team environment

  • Act as a leader for the overall nursery
  • Support key children
  • Assist in promoting equal opportunities
  • Liaise with and support parents/carers and other family members

Nursery Room Leader Requirements:


  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in childcare education
  • Experience of providing play and learning opportunities for children.
  • Good interpersonal skills and an ability to be organised and efficient
  • The ability to support trainees through mentoring and coaching
  • A working knowledge of the Children's Act.
  • Good communication skills both with children and parents
  • Knowledge of Ofsted requirements and the EYFS is a must
