We are looking to employ Advanced Senior Carers to work for our busy 88 bedded home in Ayr.


£500 signing bonus
(to be paid after completion of 13 week probation)


We are a care service based in Ayr, and we provide a range of care and support services for our older residents, some of whom have dementia.

For the job role you must have undertaken SVQ3 and be willing to undertake 2 modules of your SVQ 4 or have equivalent to SVQ 4.


Job Purpose


Working alongside a qualified nurse you will be responsible for assessing, planning and evaluating the safe and efficient delivery of care to residents at a level consistent with the goals and objectives of the home.

You will also provide flexible support services within the Home as required.

Key Personal Responsibilities

  • Carrying out duties at all times in a manner consistent with the code of conduct issued by the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
  • Protecting the confidentiality of all information relating to a resident, or a resident's family, and not divulging such information to anyone who is not authorised to receive it.
  • Carrying out duties at all times in courteous, caring and a sympathetic manner
  • Carrying out duties at all times in a manner which has appropriate regard to health, safety and welfare of both themselves and others and reports to the appropriate person any equipment that is, or is thought to be, not in good working order.
  • Communicating information about the condition (or change in condition) and welfare of Residents to GP's, relatives and other appropriate and competent persons in a responsive, timely appropriate fashion.
  • Respecting the beliefs and dignity of the Residents and their relatives at all times.
  • Being conversant with Home policies e.g. control of infection, cardiac arrest, resuscitation and the correct disposal of sharps, soiled linens and waste.
  • Reporting any complaints, accidents, problems or untoward occurrences to a competent person.
  • Participating in ongoing staff training including SVQ in care, client care, health and safety and moving and handling.

£23,223.00-£28,828.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 12 hour shift

Experience:

- providing care: 1 year (preferred)

- supervisory: 1 year (preferred)


Licence/Certification:

  • SVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care (preferred)
