Lecturer in Mental Health Nursing - key roles and responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of the undergraduate nursing curricula
  • Take responsibility for the coordination of modules when appropriate to do so and after gaining sufficient relevant experience.
  • Work as a member of a team, collaborating on course development and curriculum changes.
  • Contribute to the wider student experience through personal tutoring, excellent classroom teaching and providing support in and outside the classroom.
  • The role may require crosscampus working.

To be successful in the Lecturer in Mental Health Nursing role you will**- Be educated to degree level and will be registered as a mental health nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council

  • Have an understanding of contemporary nursing practice
  • Be willing to undertake a Post Graduate Certificate in Education and a Master's degree if not already achieved. Have an awareness of teaching and learning methodologies, and demonstrate enthusiasm for innovative teaching and supporting the development of learners.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to fairness, inclusivity and the promotion of equality and diversity
