Band 7 Communications Project Manager - Corporate

The role of the communications project manager is to lead on the communications and engagement requirements for all relevant corporate portfolios of work, using specialist knowledge to advise colleagues on communications and engagement best practice.

This involves creating, implementing and evaluating communication and engagement plans and interventions, that are designed to provide high-quality and consistent communications and engagement outputs, encourage key enabling relationships with stakeholders, remove barriers and ultimately enhance the reputation of the organisation.

The successful candidate must have excellent communication and organisational skills, the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines, be comfortable working under pressure, have excellent judgement skills, be able to build strong and mutually beneficial relationships, have high levels of professional curiosity, be an effective decision maker, and have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in communications and engagement within a complex organisation, developing evidence based researched and deliverable communication and engagement strategies, plans and approaches, including tailoring communications messages to key audiences and designing, organising and managing high profile events.

In addition, the candidate will have advanced analytical and judgement skills, be able to work flexibly, prioritise workloads and resource them in response to changing demands and requirements, and have excellent IT literacy, including knowledge of MS Office programmes.
