The Service
WDP Redbridge is an established, integrated community service delivered across several provisions in the Borough.
The service consists of both clinical and psychosocial elements and is CQC registered to provide a range of clinical interventions including BBV and health interventions, OST, and community detox, as well as having family and carers and service user involvement provision.
Together we offer a wide range of pharmacological, psychosocial, recovery-orientated, health focused and inpatient interventions that support individuals and their families who wish to receive advice, assessment, and treatment for their drug and/ or alcohol related needs.
- Fri, our core hours 9am to 5pm but there are times where we might need to work occasional evenings or weekends.
The Role
The post arises from additional OHID funding.
The post holder will be a dynamic, driven individual who is committed to supporting service users in the substance misuse community and their associated needs.
The community engagement practitioner will support with engaging the community and delivering training on brief screening, harm reduction and brief advice.
The community engagement practitioner with work alongside partner agencies and key stakeholders and support with the firming up of referral pathways and joint working initiatives.
The community engagement practitioner will carry a caseload and work with clients who are hard to reach, non-engaging and requiring reengagement and/or home visits.
Location
The role is predominantly based in Ilford Chambers, but at times may involve travel to external meetings and satellites within the borough, and to other WDP locations as needed.
