Are you interested in a temporary position at Croydon Hospital full time?The trust are looking for a Monitoring officer for 2 months. Hours of work will be Monday to Friday 9-5pm
Working as an integral part of the Estates and Facilities Directorate, the Monitoring Officer will work closely with the Patient Environment Manager, to ensure that services are provided to agreed specification, advising management of any failures in service delivery and following up to ensure rectification.
To ensure the in-house departments and external contractors are providing the Trust with a constant, efficient and effective delivery of services.
Develop a positive contractor relation framework through objective and consistent monitoring of the contracts.
Undertake audits at the hospital and community properties liaising with front line and operational staff in respect of the provision of E&F services, value for money, Health and Safety, ensuring that quality standards are maintained in respect of the services being provided and that performance is not being compromised and rectifying issues in relation to poor performance.
Ensuring corrective actions are undertaken and followed though and long term rectification plan are implemented and reported through the department Quality Steering Group.
Identifying any Trust interface risks related to the performance of contractors, and ensure they are reported, logged and the agreed action to mitigate them taken forward by Health and Safety Manager.
Monitoring the overall performance of E&F services and reporting to line management variances to service delivery specifications and poor performance and the action being taken to resolve issues and ensure performance is as per contractor agreements.
To review monthly performance reports, against output requirements and identify any variances which should attract a reduction to costs and providing evidence and sound argument for justifying these.
Be responsible for the day to day monitoring of activities of the Trust's Estates & Facilities contractors linking appropriately with clinical staff in all matters affecting efficient running of the Trust's Facilities and business generally.
Build effective networks with ward/department managers to collaborate where appropriate on Estates & Facilities related issues within the Trust.
Build links and effectively represent the Estates & Facilities Department with managers, clinicians and other health professionals throughout the hospital and community properties.
