Microbiology / Molecular Biology Researcher

6 months temporary contract

£17.00 to £28.00 per hour

Reading, RG2


PhD / MSc qualified Microbiologist or Molecular Biologist with industry experience required for research role with leading FMCG company based in Reading.


Key Aims:

PhD/MSc. in Microbiology, Molecular Biology or Bioanalytical with a proven lab focus.

Previous experience in an industry based research laboratory.

Skilled in a range of laboratory methods ideally including PCR, bioinformatics, DNA extraction, Next Generation Sequencing, cytometry and microscopy.

Experience of the generation of quality data and statistical analysis in a GMP lab would be beneficial.

Critical thinking & problems solving skills.

Strong communications skills with clear and concise written & verbal communication.

Expectation is to develop validation quality data and be able to write external publications relative to the technique. Ability to influence critical decisions in technical teams

Collaborative approach. Ability to partner effectively with multifunctional groups internally and externally.
