WE ARE SEEKING
ila is looking to hire 2 Cleaning Operatives for Hairpin House, a new BTR scheme in Birmingham consisting of 237 residential apartments


Working Hours - 4 hour shift daily (Monday to Friday) with the option to work additional paid hours for apartment cleans (when necessary)


About the Role


ila is looking to hire two Cleaning Operatives for Hairpin House, a new BTR scheme in Birmingham consisting of 237 residential apartments.

Each operative will be on a 20 hour per week contract with the potential to add further hours for resident apartment cleans (when necessary).


Cleaning Operatives will be expected to undertake a variety of cleaning tasks, ensuring a robust health and safety approach whilst maintaining the highest of standards on site presentation.


We are looking for team players who will take ownership of all tasks assigned to them and do so with a can-do attitude and a people first approach to the role.

This role will report directly into the Community Manager and will collaborate with other members of the site team.


Main Tasks

  • Understand basic hygiene and sanitation requirements for cleaning specific areas.
  • Experience of COSHH regulations
  • Responsible for cleaning all internal communal areas of the building, including all hallways, stairwells, lounge areas, communal kitchen areas, management office, reception area and external terraces.
  • Carry out core duties thoroughly and with care, including;
- _All surfaces clean_
- _Vacuuming & Mopping_
- _Dusting at all reachable levels_
- _In_t_ernal window cleaning_
- _Assist with waste management_
- _Replacing replenishable items such as hand-soap and toilet roll_
- _Litter picking in external areas_

  • Regularly inspect and check all cleaning cupboards on site. Make sure they are kept clean, organised and well stocked. Making sure all cleaning materials are stored correctly and that all COSHH products are locked away in the suitable cupboard.
  • Ensure any health and safety issues or concerns are reported to the Community Manager (or deputy in their absence).
  • Update the Community Manager/Assistant Community Manager when any consumable/cleaning items are needed so orders can be placed in a timely manner.
  • Complete general cleaning tasks in resident apartments when required
  • Carry out any other duties associated with the post as required by the Management Team
  • Attend such training as required by the Management Team

  • An enthusiastic and positive approach to their role and tasks.
  • A dependable and responsible attitude.
  • An eye for detail; good problemsolving ability and a practical approach.

Salary:
£11.00 per hour
