Derbyshire Constabulary have embarked on a Mini Police community programme aimed at working with school children from academic years 5 and 6 (8 to 11 years of age).

This is being co-ordinated by the Citizens in Policing team working in partnership with the Safer Neighbourhood Policing teams and selected primary / junior schools across the county.

Whilst part of Derbyshire Constabularies long-term youth engagement strategy Mini Police is still considered a pilot. As such the post holder will work with the force to develop and extend the scheme.

This will include seeking feedback from all parties and working with the Citizens in Policing Manager to present a business case for expansion.

Working with all departments and units across the force as well as external agencies will be a key function of this role.

For part time hours the salary will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, this is based on the number of hours for the vacancy.
