Graduate Assistant - Photography Stores

School of Arts

Hardwick Campus, Cheltenham

25 hours per week, term time only

Fixed term contract until 7th
July 2023
The University's School of Art and Design possesses a significant amount of photographic and audio-visual equipment.

The role of administering this equipment, supervising loans and ensuring quality kit and advice is dispensed in a timely manner is vital to the running of courses.

A broad knowledge and experience of photographic equipment, processes and procedures is essential, along with an aptitude for computer databases and general computer skills.


Technicians play a key role in helping to ensure the smooth running of a professional, high quality, effective and efficient photographic department through the maintenance and provision of specialist technical services.

This role will assist in the day-to-day support for students in their learning as well as for academic personnel engaged in teaching and learning activities, research and consultancy.

The post holder will have a high commitment to customer service as well as a flexible and multi-skilled approach. Team working and the provision of customer-focused services in a technology rich environment are important aspects of the role.
