Shire Healthcare are currently sourcing a band 6 Speech and Language Therapist for one of our clients in Southeast London.

The successful Speech and Language Therapist will work in the community, supporting children and young people in drop-in clinics, mainstream schools and specialist educational provisions.

This is a full-time, permanent position at 37.5 hours per week.


The role:

  • Managing a mixed caseload of children and young people with speech, language and communication needs
  • Completing assessments to develop individualised intervention programmes
  • Delivering interventions
  • Liaising with clients, parents, carers and other professionals in relation to the speech, language and communication needs
  • Providing supervision to junior staff and students
  • Contributing to the delivery of training

The ideal Speech and Language Therapist:

  • Holds a relevant Degree/Diploma in Speech and Language Therapy
  • HCPC registered
  • Experience of supporting children and young people with a variety of diagnoses
