MFL Teachers required - West Cumbria - from £140 per day (according to experience)


We are looking for MFL teachers - one post available is for a
popular Secondary school near Workington, who have an
opportunity for a teacher to join their department from September.


The roles are
ideally full time - however, part time can be considered. The daily rate would be from £140 per day and agreed according to experience and qualifications.

Qualified and experienced teacher rates are from at least £150 per dayand we offer an increase to payscale rates when successfully post 12 working weeks - this role is required long term.


Qualifications/Experience Required

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or previous experience of teaching languages in a Secondary school
  • Have excellent classroom management skills
  • Be flexible, adaptable and willing to get "stuck in" and help where needed
  • Ability to set consistently high expectations for all students through class work, homework and enrichment
  • Commitment to enrichment and extracurricular provision, in the development of students

Duties/Expectations of a Supply Teacher


As a
long term supply teacheryou will be expected to
plan and teach well-structured lessonsof a high standard to the students you are assigned by following designated programmes of study.

By monitoring students in accordance with agreed departmental strategies you will impart your knowledge and develop students' understanding through effectiveuse of lesson time.

You will be
required to set homework where required.

You will be expected to contribute to the design and provision of an engaging curriculum along with the other department staff.

You will
maintain disciplinein accordance with school policies and demonstrate good practice in the classes taught with regard to; attendance, appearance, uniform, punctuality, behaviour and homework.

You will also be expected to
set high expectationswhich inspire, motivate and challenge students.
