Opened in October 2015, Hilton London Bankside represents the next generation of design-led Hilton Hotels.

Each part of the property has been carefully created to reflect the fascinating history and ambiance of the surrounding area, combining the authentic urban grittiness and polished contemporary design.


Set in the heart of Bankside, just steps from some of London's most famous landmarks such as Tate Modern, Borough Market and The Shard, Hilton London Bankside is home to 292 stunning guest rooms including 25 bespoke suites which offer breathtaking views of the city skyline.

The hotel also includes one beautiful penthouse apartment which boasts its own private roof terrace, a 100m2 entertainment area and views across the London skyline.

In addition, the hotel brings a new neighbourhood eatery, OXBO Bankside to the area, alongside The Distillery, a cool and casual bar.


The hotel also features Bankside's largest and most exquisite Ballroom accommodating up to 700 guests theatre style or 500 in a banquet setting.

With a private entrance, a 6-metre high ceiling, dramatic chandeliers, a balcony and sweeping marble staircase leading to the Bankside Ballroom, this is a spectacular venue for any grand celebration, fashion show, awards ceremony or corporate event.


The key purpose of your role is to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the guests, colleagues, and company assets, according to the agreed Policies of the company and the procedures and objectives as set out by the Security & Risk Manager.

Security and Safety is maintained to its highest levels at all times and that Fire and Health & Safety processes are being followed and adhered to.


  • Comply with Key standards of operations for the Security Department
  • Assists to protect Hotel property, colleagues and guests
  • Record and report in depth all relevant incidents, including operational issues in SAEKER
  • Respond immediately and investigate all Fire Alarm activations in accordance with the Hotel fire procedures
  • Act as a point of contact for any security related enquiry assisting both guests and employees as professionally and courteously as possible.
  • Specific jobrelated duties
  • Assist in enquiries from the Civil Police or other government departments and law enforcement agencies in the absence of Security & Risk Manager.
  • Assists to protect Hotel property, colleagues and guests
by identifying / observing any suspicious activities and dealing with them accordingly ensuring that the security manager or Manager on Duty are informed at all times.

  • Enforce the 'PASS OUT' procedure and to carry out random checks and searches on colleagues and contractors, entering and leaving the building.
  • Ensure that all Security and Hotel record systems are maintained in the manner instructed by the Security & Risk Manager.
  • Ensure that files and records are maintained for reference and that they are kept under lock and key and not made available to subordinates for browsing.
  • Lead by example being prompt and on time, excellent time management.
  • Performs all other related duties as directed by Security & Risk Manager.
  • Respond immediately and investigate all Fire Alarm activations in accordance with the Hotel fire procedures

  • Be Proficient in Vingcard in all aspects of the system.
  • Understand and use of CCTV system (Hikvision).
  • Assist in the Training of all hotel staff members as required.
  • Full knowledge of DDA alarms and panic alarm system.
  • Adhere to any reasonable request from any member of the management team or Managers on Duty.
  • Conduct and/or supervises investigations into reports made on fire, cases of theft and incidents and thereafter to submit the investigation reports to the Security & Risk Manager without unwarranted delay.
  • Ensure that all hotel team members abide by the hotel's policies in place.
