A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our Sales Support team in the brands division within the Arnold Wills Group - one of the UK's leading fashion accessories specialists based in Uppingham, Rutland.


Established in 1946, this family owned business prides itself on designing, developing and perfecting handmade leather goods at our factory in the heart of the local community.

Our brands included The British Belt Company, Sophos, The British Bag Company and Cole Brothers. These brands currently sell via various wholesale channels, online and third party platforms.


We require someone with a positive can-do attitude to join the sales admin team processing customer orders, fielding customer & agent telephone calls, along with the opportunity to join us at external trade exhibitions.


We are looking for someone with good Microsoft Office and computerised sales order processing systems knowledge, but more importantly we are looking for someone with a positive approach, as on the job training will be given.


Key Responsibilities:
- effectively communicate with customers, sales agents & internal brands team
- receive customer orders
- check orders for all important information (style numbers, price, delivery dates)
- raise internal sales orders using Navision
- communicate any special requirements of customer orders (packaging, delivery, terms)
- resolve any post-deliver invoice queries, including debit and credit notes
- work with the accounts team to resolve any overdue payments
- carry out all related sales admin tasks and order processing for assigned online platforms
- answer all customer service requirements including customer queries and order processing
- ensure all areas of administration are prepared for Xmas / Father's Day / Mother's Day and other key trading events in the calendar
- provide support in preparation for key meetings and tradeshows


Preferred Skills:
- sound knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- experience of sales order processing system (preferable but full training will be given)
- confident and friendly approach to dealing with customers over the telephone and face to face
- excellent attention to detail and able to work quickly in a fast paced environment with changing priorities
- self motivated and able to work under own autonomy or as part of a team
- team player attitude and positive can do approach
- must live within easily commutable distance of Uppingham

  • 30 hours per week over 5 days Mon-Fri but can be flexible on timings to work around family and personal commitments
