Learning Support Assistant
  • The Crossley Heath School
:

  • Job description
A rare opportunity has arisen to join the small, effective SEND team within our school.

We have a vacancy for a Learning Support Assistant with good knowledge and understanding of how to support students with a range of needs.

The post will involve working closely with the SENCo and contributing fully to the work of the team.

You must have a genuine liking for young people and must be able to establish good relationships with the young people in your care.

You will be working with a small number of high needs students in the school who can find the mainstream environment challenging.

Patience, understanding and good communication skills are essential along with confidence in speaking with students, staff, parents and external agencies.

Building positive and trusting relationships with parents and carers is also a key part of the role.

This is a perfect opportunity to work within an extremely successful school and make a significant contribution to supporting young people to achieve their dreams and aspirations.

Crossley Heath is a very popular school which achieves excellent outcomes for our young people.

We are proud of the dedicated support we provide to young people with AEN/SEN and hope you will be able to help us develop our expertise even further.

Interviews to be held on Thursday 2 May 2024.

Required as soon as possible.
We believe our staff are the school's greatest asset.

We have signed up to the Education Staff Wellbeing Charter with the aim of supporting the wellbeing and mental health of all staff.
