Description

Optimize the Production organization's assembly methods, processes and equipment in order to minimize labour hours in accordance with business strategies related to quality, efficiency, costs and safety.

Description
Identifies and recommends improvement opportunities and implements improvement projects, ensuring adherence to timeframe, quality and cost requirements.


Provides support to Production during the internal/external process/equipment start-up, defining action plans and training relevant maintenance and production resources including product technical data sheets.

Job instructions, assembly drawings


Evaluates new process technologies to improve productivity, quality and cost reduction, defining and leading testing activities, approval criteria and external provider choices.

Ensures NPI and ECN processes are followed correctly


Defines the working phase sequence of a new production process in order to achieve the targeted product cost and equipment investment budget.

Ensures appropriate production methods, cycle-time, equipment performance, and materials/components in support of production targets.

Develop test instructions/procedure for all product s that are assembled and undergo testing on site and that results are captured and actioned as appropriate

Ensure production tooling is serviceable and available and that production cell layout meets with the product design

Maintain calibration control of test equipment, applicable assembly tooling, compressed air and electrical services.


Profile

ssential
Engineering background or relevant qualification with Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics experience

Proficient with CAD packages

17th Addition wiring regs.

Excellent Interpersonal skills

Computer literacy

Excellent Communication skills (written and verbal)

Understanding of Lean Manufacturing

Awareness of ISO standards and procedures
