We are a friendly trust that puts people first.

The Governors, Staff and Pupils of Hob Moor Community Primary Academy are looking for an exceptional Headteacher who will build on the very strong foundations already in place to move our federation of two 'Good' rated schools along its journey of improvement.

You will provide professional leadership and management of Hob Moor Community Primary Academy which, along with Hob Moor Oaks Academy (a special school), is part of a Federation belonging to Ebor Academy Trust.

With a passion for excellence, the person we are seeking will also be able to demonstrate a track record of whole school change so they are equipped to lead the school to even greater achievements, whilst respecting the unique ethos of the Federation.

  • Be a leader who can demonstrate having accelerated pupil progress across their school
  • Be highly motivated and committed to working in partnership with staff and governors in taking the school forward
  • Demonstrate their commitment to engaging fully with parents and the school community.

We can offer:

  • A nationally unique environment
  • Pupils with good attitudes to learning
  • A highly committed staff with wellestablished and supportive senior leaders
  • Welldeveloped systems and programmes to support disadvantaged children
  • An active and supportive governing body committed to your professional development
  • A supportive and progressive trust where collaboration, horizon scanning and professional development are key to what we do.

Working with us

At Hob Moor Primary Academy we pride ourselves on being a happy place to learn where everyone is supported to achieve their full potential.

Children and staff alike strive to learn something new every day and to be the best they can be. We were voted 'Schoolof the Year' in the York Community Pride awards 2020.

We are proud of our relationships with both parents/carers and the local community. Together we believe we can provide a truly great education that will equip our children for life-long learning.

Our children are valued as individuals and as a school wecelebrate each other's achievements both academically and in the wider community.

We focus on providing a nurturing and friendly environment where children are respected and valued and where their individual needs are recognised and supported.

We strive for our learners to make excellent progress in everything they do, to be the bestthey can be in all areas of their school life and most importantly have a love for learning.

To achieve this we provide and implement a broad, balanced, creative and innovative curriculum that inspires, challenges and promotes a passion for their education.

All new starters with the Trust receive a thorough induction programme, followed by a programme of training which is targeted to the role.

But it doesn't stop there, all staff receive development on an ongoing basis and we actively encourage career developmentthrough a range of continuous professional development and longer programmes of learning, including NPQs.
