Junior Commercial Analyst - Media - Central London
We are looking for an enthusiastic Commercial Analyst to join a busy Media business based in Central London.

As Commercial Analyst you will be responsible for for the control of key financial and commercial processes across a number of client accounts.

Youwill receive great exposure working closely with the Senior Commercial Manager and helping to assist with the key day to day tasks.

The role is working hybrid with an expectation of 3 days in the office per week.


Key responsibilities:


  • Creating and updating reports to provide relevant data to our senior management team about staff utilisation and client profitability
  • Have knowledge of the forecasts for our client contracts
  • Assist with data entry into reporting software for forecast submission
  • Provide variance analysis of the financial performance of the client contracts for both revenue and direct costs
  • Assist with reporting to group finance with variance analysis
  • Attend commercial review meetings to discuss financial performance of client contracts
  • Raising client billing requests to the Accounts Receivable team in line with contractual agreements
  • Client specific journal entries for a portfolio of clients including revenue recognition, cost accrual and deferral and month end reconciliations.
  • Day to day monitoring of all balance sheet accounts covering client WIP, deferred and accrued costs; including the analysis, reconciliation and reporting on such amounts
  • Reporting of working capital management including analysis and suggestions for operational improvements.

Key skills:


  • At least 1 years experience working as part of a Finance function
  • A good understanding of basic Accounting standards
  • Genuine interest for working in the Media industry
  • Confident communication skills and ability to interact with clients professionally
  • IT proficient with a good understanding of MS Excel
  • Highly organised and ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Credible, reliable and trustworthy
