Description

We are recruiting for a Training Administrator who has experience as an Officer or Assistant in a similar capacity, and/or is familiar with Construction and Civil Engineering industries.

The role is based on the N1/N2 section of the HS2 Area North (Birmingham/Coleshill and surrounding areas):
The duties may include the following (but are not limited to):

  • Assist with the coordination all training across SB
  • Plan and organise training upon request
  • Monitor qualifications held and expiry dates
  • Maintain training trackers and report any process issues to the training lead
  • Manage training and medical records and provide reports
  • Ensure all training conducted is in line with both of the JV partner's policies and procedures
  • Receive complaints regarding training and escalate
  • Explore avenues for improvements regarding training and competency checks
  • Ensure excellent communication to all stakeholders
  • Work with HR regarding the documentation required for the onboarding process
We are looking for the below characteristics in the Training Administrator we employ:

  • An effective communicator with both external and internal customers, must present a professional image on the phone and in person, must be able to interface with the right balance of authority and customer service
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with both of the JV partner's training suppliers
  • Works well with others and develops productive working relationships. Commits to team
priorities and goals. Contributes good ideas, does not hold back

  • Clear drive and ambition
  • Ability to prioritise work and activities
  • Excellent timekeeping
  • Strong computer skills focused on Excel / Word / PowerPoint and ideally and ideally conversant with other software, e.g. MS Project
  • Administration experience
  • Experience working within the construction industry, preferably the geotechnical industry
  • Experience with generating reports
