We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Support Secretary to provide clerical support our Community Paediatric Service based at the GEM Centre.

The role will also work closely with the wider medical secretarial team.

This is a part time position working 21 hours per week and will be based at the Gem Centre Neachells Lane Wolverhampton


The post-holder will work as part of a secretarial team to provide a comprehensive support secretarial service to the Community Paediatric Service across the Community Children's Directorate.

The post-holder will possess excellent clerical and communication skills, ensuring the highest level of confidentiality is maintained at all times.


Principal duties will include word processing of digital dictation, raising purchase orders for equipment, administration work surrounding patient attendance, responding to enquiries and covering for colleagues during absences.

We require a highly motivated person with proven ability to prioritise multiple tasks. You should possess a minimum of OCR 3 (or equivalent) word processing and desirably be a competent audio typist.

Knowledge of medical terminology and PAS is desirable, however training will be available.
