Sewell Wallis are urgently looking to speak to any experienced Interim Financial Controllers/Finance Managers who are looking to start their next contract ASAP.

Our client are based north of York city centre, and looking for someone with manufacturing experience to hit the ground running as their new Interim FC.

Following an incredibly busy and unexpected busy period, the CFO of this business urgently requires someone to come in and review all existing process and procedures and to create a more efficient way of working.

There will be times when you need to deputisefor the CFO, and others when your sleeves are rolled completely up looking at AP & AR processes.

Therefore a hands on Financial Controller with strong people and stakeholder management experience is essential.

  • Support the CFO by reviewing current processes and procedures and implementing more effective ways of doing things
  • Look at the current finance team and identify any clear gaps and training required
  • Supporting the CFO on business plans and business critical decisions
  • Completing monthly management accounts
  • Preparing financial budgets and monthly reforecasting of budgets
  • Focusing on new projects and contracts for the business
  • Negotiating new contracts alongside the CFO
  • Statutory reporting
  • Variance analysis
  • Liaising with auditors
  • KPI reporting
  • Overseeing the finance team and addressing any issues
It is important that you have some manufacturing experience in order to hit the ground running.
