Have you considered working directly for a building owner? Our client is looking for a 'can do' engineer to be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and running of their landmark central London office.

You would be working for a pioneer in social innovationprojects revolved around child welfare, health and sustainability.

Duties:


  • To identify and diagnose faults and to carry out repairs, adjustments and other maintenance works as appropriate.
  • To monitor all building plant and to record data using the supplied documentation.
  • Present at pretender meetings and carry out site surveys
  • Quantify & cost plan build costs to support initial project appraisals
  • Carry out the required routine servicing, repair or adjustment of plant or machinery in accordance with SFG20 and the planned maintenance schedules.
  • To be fully responsible for all record keeping and ensure statutory requirements, British Standards and manufacturer's recommendations are fully satisfied.
  • Work with the Design Team to identify risk and adequate provision
  • Retain highest possible standard of plant and equipment efficiency by ensuring that each task is carried out in accordance with the set requirements and instructions.
  • Comply with Company's "Health & Safety" policy and procedures and to immediately report any hazards or infringements to the Services Manager.
  • To carry out all associated tasks in accordance with ACOP L8 Legionnaires disease control of water systems,
  • Work with operators and sales to ensure the most costeffective completion of all tasks.
  • Analyse & vet subcontract tender returns
  • Formation of Final Project Budget
  • Give guidance on possible risks and openings within a scheme
  • Researching cost of items i.e. materials, transport, labour and equipment.
  • Responsible for the Term Contract Schedule of Rates
Person Profile

  • Proven experience as an Building engineer for commercial buildings
  • A relevant professional qualification in an electrical or Building Services HVAC discipline is essential.
  • Experience of quality driven facilities management as well as electrical, mechanical and HVAC systems within a large complex is essential together with a flexible, innovative, and handson approach.
  • An individual who can work effectively with people at all levels and is capable of dealing with contentious and challenging situations.
  • Self motivated to work under his/her own initiative.
  • Previous experience in a multidisciplined operations/maintenance team in a modern technology building. Emphasis on working with minimum supervision.
  • Good administrative skills and have experience of the design and specification of specialist systems particularly those relating to building services.
