The BIP (Business & Innovation Partnerships) High Growth SME cluster supports UCLs engagement with innovative SMEs through innovation programmes.

These programmes provide a platform for UCL spinouts, start-ups and associated SMEs to innovate, scale and grow nationally and internationally.


About the role:


  • The development of partnerships with significant business and other enterpriserelevant organisations in London is an essential part of the delivery of UCL's Innovation and Enterprise strategy, and engaging with SMEs, through the Innovate UK EDGE services, who are likely to be innovating and using innovative technology, to grow and internationalise, is one key element of UCL's work with businesses in London.
  • As part of the Innovate UK EDGE Consortium, the objectives will be to deliver a high quality service to a target group of innovative businesses with a view to increase their innovation management capacity, access to finance, knowledge, skills, networks and customers to move a concept from the innovation to internationalisation continuum, through commercialisation, internationalisation and scaling. The IGS will explicitly work across the whole innovation to internationalisation continuum, segmenting potential clients according to, 'Seed, Early Stage, Growth and Scale' stages of growth, which will allow for a delivery model specifically shaped to their needs.
  • In tandem, the role will support some of the most ambitious, high growth potential innovative SME's to benefit from national and global opportunities so companies could become tomorrow's global success stories.

About you:

They will have experience of being involved in delivering on Equality, Diversity & Inclusion initiatives. They would have great leadership skills and previous record of line management. They will be competent in writing strategic/Operational reports whist being comfortable with interpreting and presenting data.
