We are looking for an expert leader in Procurement who can build a service with NHS users that makes a significant impact on the quality, safety, and efficiency of services for patients, carers, and the public - saving the health system time and money.

Here at NHS SBS, we work flexibly so whilst this role will include remote working, we champion and expect our teams to work in synergy with both the main Procurement office in Salford and across the country.


What you will be doing:


  • Managing a team of c. 100 professionals providing effective, timely and outstanding service delivery from service migration onwards across our integrated procurement solutions, taking an active role in our Great Place to Work strategy and colleague development.
  • Placing yourself as a visible champion and thought leader across NHS procurement networks with NHS SBS 'Force for Good' solutions.
  • Working collaboratively with leaders from across the NHS SBS business to define, plan and deliver the common NHS SBS sourcetosettle vision.
  • Delivering effective transformation activities, strategic and complex change projects based on the needs of our business and customers.
  • Actively working with ICS Solutions teams to test out, develop and finalise opportunities for future work across the NHS and Healthcare system.
  • Establish core aims and objectives and embed a dataled monitoring and understanding approach across NHS SBS and customer teams for our integrated procurement services.

What you will bring:


  • Deep experience in public sector procurement services, ideally in the NHS.
  • Indepth knowledge of operational management, preferably within a shared service environment.
  • Knowledge of the healthcare system and local government landscape.
  • Experience at leading change programmes seeking to deliver enhanced functional performance.
  • Sound understanding of good corporate governance.
Be able to articulate problems to wider stakeholder group for participation and buy-in.
