Description

The Justice Hub Administrative Assistant will be involved in supporting the effective set-up and administration of projects and activities within the remit of the School of Law 'Justice Hub'.


These will include, but not limited to, the Legal Advice Centre (LAC), Manchester Free Legal Help (MFLH) and the Manchester Innocence Project (MIP).


All cases are run through a cloud-based case management system (CLIO), which is endorsed by the Law Society of England & Wales and is used by various law firms both nationally and internationally.


Legal Advice Centre
The Legal Advice Centre provides free legal advice to students, University staff, and members of the public on campus. The Centre is open during term time and during June and July.

Students work with volunteer, fully qualified Solicitors to give legal advice on a wide range of practice areas through the form of a written advice letter.


Manchester Free Legal Help


Manchester Free Legal Help operates from the Manchester Civil Justice Centre in Manchester City Centre and provides free legal advice to members of the local community through face to face and hybrid drop-in sessions in Family and Immigration law.

Please note, currently this service is offered by appointment only.


Manchester Innocence Project
Manchester Innocence Project works by allowing students to work on live criminal cases of those maintaining their innocence.


Please note that this role is based full-time on campus.
