The role

Contributing to Aberystwyth University's UK student recruitment's effort, and providing liaison services to key client groups including schools, colleges, teachers/advisers, students, applicants, parents/guardians and other relevant stakeholders, the post will primarily service North West England.

To be able to access this region's schools and colleges the postholder should normally be resident one of the following areas:

There will be occasional trips beyond this core area and will involve travel throughout the UK to support colleagues at recruitment events, out of the region.

The postholder will also travel Aberystwyth, normally monthly, for meetings, training and participation in campus-based activities (e.g., for Open Days, school/college visits, teacher/adviser visits and related events).

The role involves a large degree of interaction with client groups - from giving presentations to groups, to one-to-one conversations at recruitment events - giving informed information, advice and guidance to build trust and good relationships with our clients.

This post involves physically demanding schedules at times and requires a willingness and ability to travel frequently and extensively within the region, and further afield when necessary.

The role will provide extensive opportunities to develop a wide set of skills, relating not only to the field of higher education, but to the wider areas of events, marketing and sales, amongst others.

Appointments are normally made within - 8 weeks of the closing date.
