GBR Recruitment are extremely proud to be working exclusively with a leading progressive innovative Food packaging business recruiting for an experienced
Business Development Manager to drive forward current major food packaging customer accounts & to secure new business via various channels.


It is exciting times for this growing client as they continue to secure new business across major food retailers / manufacturers UK wide.


This key role will be responsible for
selling directly to food manufacturers (Major Nationals & SME's) plus major retailerslike the big 4 in food retail plus all other major high street retailers too, working on the business development / new business wins across branded, private label & contract production provisions in this varied role.


You will be highly experienced in negotiating contracts & product pricing / sales point, costings, forecasting demand against current trends, seasons & from Intel provided by the end using client, dealing with holding stocks, budgeting, key account management& account growth in terms of volumes, new lines & further market penetration, selling into target prospectives.

FMCG / Food packaging dealing with high volume ever changing demands across an extensive & varied SKU's profile.


Duties:


  • Initiate and drive a strategic sales plan, to maximise current key accounts & secure new account wins across food manufacturing / retail / wholesale / foodservice / food to go, packaging solutions
  • Identify and actively pursue new sales targets, converting them into wins.
  • P&L Management.
  • Food Packaging product costings & quotes
  • Price negotiation with customers
  • Producing sales budget to include sales/margin and potential NPD costs
  • Tracking & producing sales activity reports
  • Support NPD / EPD & NPI launch reviews/
  • Managing key customers expectations

Experience:


  • Strong Food sector packaging experience at a BDM / NAM level is a must for this key role.
  • Proven experience of successfully delivering real sales growth within food manufacturing / food service packaging solutions Nationally.
  • Strong ability to build long term Business Partnership Relationships.
  • Varied modern up to date Food Packaging Products experience (thermoformed plastics, card, ecofriendly solutions etc.).
