We are looking to recruit a full time
Privacy Officer on a fixed term contract for 12 months.

You will be part of a diverse and forward-thinking team providing advice and guidance on legislative compliance matters pertaining to information rights law, to all staff of Leicestershire Police, the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner and Force partners.

Key Accountabilities

  • You will be responsible for facilitating the delivery of strategic objectives related to lawful information sharing and partnership working via the creation of formal documents such as Information Sharing Agreements and Data Processing Contracts.
  • Undertaking regular reviews of new and existing projects and initiatives.
  • Advising the Data Protection Officer, Deputy Information Manager, and strategic stakeholders in line with information risk management principles and methodology.

The must haves

  • You must be educated to degree level or be able to demonstrate experience of working to that standard.
  • Hold a recognised qualification in data protection law such as Data Protection Foundation/Practitioner or have relevant work experience.
  • Experience of reviewing and analysing complex legal documentation to compile data protection compliant documentation, such as Data Protection Impact Assessments, data processing contracts and information sharing agreements.

For part time hours the salary will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, this is based on the number of hours for the vacancy.

Salary:
SO1 (£31,434 - £33,348)


Due to RV vetting requirements, you must have a minimum of 3 years continuous UK residency to be eligible to apply.
