We are looking for a Data Officer to work within the in our NQ Assessment Arrangements team.This role will be ideal for someone who is committed to ensuring fairness for all and who is interested in utilising the power of data to enhance the delivery of services.
Our team's primary role is to support learners who have additional support needs to access our National Qualifications. We also run a number of processes that ensure equality of access and fairness for learners.To do this we work closely with schools and colleges to understand learner needs and help deliver solutions that support the learner and protect the integrity of SQA assessments.
You will contribute to the effective planning and delivery of these processes; and need to take a customer-centric approach in your work.
You will be able to analyse data to quickly identify trends and potential service delivery risks and escalate these effectively.
To do this, you must be able to demonstrate relevant experience of:- Identifying requirements, prioritising effectively and ensuring that multiple tasks are completed accurately and to deadline
- Analysing and using data effectively in your work
- Utitlising reporting tools to support the effective delivery of procedures
- Contributing to change initiatives in relation to continuous improvement activities and projects
- Building and maintaining effective relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders to ensure a high level of customer service
- Communicating in writing, or verbally, to a high standard, using data appropriately to support the understanding of colleagues and other stakeholders
- Supervising and supporting individuals to help them to be effective contributors in the team
Additionally, you must:
- Have a excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes. Exposure to using Power BI would be beneficial but not essential.
- Have excellent numeracy and data analysis skills
- Work well in a team, under pressure and in a busy environment
Applicants, as a minimum, should be educated to SCQF Level 6 (Higher/SVQ3) and/or be able to demonstrate direct relevant experience for this role.
