Lakeside Care Home are seeking a Receptionist & Administrator for maternity cover until June, the role will potentially lead to a similar role at Langtree Care Home upon its completion.


Millennium Care is a provider of Nursing, Residential and Specialist Care. We have numerous care homes across the Northwest. We are committed to the well-being and person-centred care of our residents. We are looking for a friendly and welcoming individual to join our busy team as a full-time receptionist/administrator for our Lakeside Nursing Home in Wigan until June.

Working Hours:
Monday to Friday 09.00am pm


Salary:
£10.92 per hour.


OBJECTIVE:

Our objective is to provide a secure and caring environment with a homely atmosphere and to provide care and practice appropriate to individual residents of the highest possible standard.


PURPOSE OF JOB:
Meet and greet visitors. Carry out general administration and telephony duties as instructed.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Ensure that the conservatory/reception area is always welcoming and appropriately maintained. Keep the area tidy and clutterfree.
  • Answer incoming telephone calls in a friendly and professional manner and transfer the call to the relevant person or department. If there is no one available take a message and ensure that the correct person receives the message.
  • Deal with all complaints in an empathetic manner and escalate as appropriate.
  • Welcome visitors with the highest standard of customer service, give assistance to visitors and residents as required.
  • Ensure deliveries, including medication, received at reception are given to the appropriate person and that medication is not left unattended at reception.
  • Manually and electronically record all admissions and discharges of residents in the relevant databases and files.
  • Prepare notices and posters and display them on the correct notice board for residents, staff and visitors where required.
  • Accept and receipt monies and cheques paid into the home via the post or by visitors.
  • Money from petty cash and the residents' cash book is to be recorded daily and reconciled weekly.
  • Be familiar with Fire Drill, Safety precautions and COSHH
  • Maintain occupancy records electronically on relevant software to ensure data is always up to date.
  • Complete the new employee profiles on relevant software.
  • Liaise with head office on payroll matters and collate annual leave, sickness and HR data.
  • Maintain employee annual leave on relevant software.
  • Ensure each new resident/family member completes and returns a service users contract and file manually and electronically.
  • Ensure all filing is in the correct section of the file and up to date.
  • Update and maintain the Next of Kin database ensuring all information is correct on a monthly basis.
  • Ensure employee files are maintained and updated with relevant information on a monthly basis.
  • Maintain the employee database ensuring all staff contact details are kept up to date and any changes are recorded in the relevant software.
