Consumables Team Lead


We are looking for an enthusiastic professional with experience in stock rooms/logistics/warehousing to join a growing healthcare company in assisting Liverpool University Hospitals Trust.


  • Salary: £30,000£32,000
  • Location: Royal Liverpool University Hospital & Aintree University Hospital
  • Work pattern: Permanent, fulltime

Responsibilities:


  • Oversee CMS staff at assigned locations on a daily basis
  • Instruct staff to follow established processes
  • Conduct annual performance evaluations of staff
  • Foster personal development and training opportunities for the team
  • Approve annual leave schedules to maintain uninterrupted service
  • Ensure department coverage during regular business hours (Mon-Fri, 08:3016:30) or as specified for specific operations
  • Act as a client liaison onsite to address general inquiries
  • Promote the company's CMS facilities as safe, clean, and efficient environments
  • Submit monthly reports to the head office as required
  • Collaborate with client managers to review, agree upon, and maintain minimum/maximum stock control
  • Conduct daily cycle counts, monitor expiring stock, and track stock variances
  • Conduct annual stock checks and reconciliations as needed
  • Manage product quarantine, recalls, shelf life expiration, stock rotation, loss management, exchanges, and physical returns
  • Order nonstock items required by each service location
  • Handle both automatic and manual orders through the company's stock management system
  • Monitor and execute stock transfers, including crosssite/department transfers, adhoc issues, and sale or return items
  • Follow up with suppliers and manage over/under deliveries, damages, expired stock, and stockouts
  • Receive deliveries from the client's Receipt & Distribution department, process the delivery, file related paperwork (PO & Delivery Notes)
  • Ensure all stock is readily available and accessible for use by clinical staff
  • Facilitate price inquiries between suppliers, the company's procurement and finance departments, and the client
  • Carry out any additional service monitoring as agreed upon between the company and the client or any other duties as instructed by CMS management
  • Provide daily Consumable Managed Service (CMS) at allocated sites
