Job Purpose Summary:
The Buyer role revolves around identifying, procuring, managing, and supplying materials in accordance with customer and production requirements.


Key Responsibilities & Accountability:

  • Negotiate with the supply base to secure optimal pricing for new and existing business.
  • Maintain and update MRP & Epicor codes as necessary.
  • Generate and execute purchase orders based on MRP suggestions/Customer demand, while effectively managing the order book to accommodate fluctuations in demand.
  • Ensure timely delivery from the supply base.
  • Monitor and manage stock levels for specific customers, identifying and addressing slowmoving or obsolete materials for commercial recovery.
  • Execute projects assigned by the Purchasing Manager within agreedupon timelines.
  • Identify and propose costsaving opportunities and process enhancements.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

Essential:

  • Proficiency in the use of Excel and other Microsoft software.
