Key Purpose:
Shoptalk is looking for a Global Head of Content Special Projects to help build our conference agendas and identify speakers from a broad cross-section of global retail and ecommerce organizations.
This person will be well-versed in retail trends and technologies across verticals and geographies, enabling them to be a key contributor across our full event portfolio.
This person will also play a strategic role in bringing together best practices and learnings across the global content team.
They will join a high-profile team reporting into the SVP, Content.Key Responsibilities
- Key Responsibilities:
- Researching, analyzing and determining the topics to cover on our agendas to help ensure that Shoptalk, Groceryshop and Shoptalk Europe remain at the forefront of thought leadership for the retail & ecommerce industries and continues to be a voice for change and development
- Writing indepth descriptions of tracks and sessions
- Helping to identify and recruit hundreds of seniorlevel speakers from large brands and retailers, venturebacked startups, tech companies, investors, consulting firms and more for Shoptalk, Groceryshop and Shoptalk Europe, with an initial focus on Shoptalk Europe 202
- Joining calls with all speakers and moderators to shape the conversation that will take place at each event, and ensuring each session provides value to our audience
- Reviewing and providing feedback on speakers' presentations to ensure they provide value to our audience
- Interviewing speakers onstage and delivering remarks/presentations as needed
- Helping to shape our Tabletalks peer discussion group topics and conversations
- Helping to manage the execution of Tabletalks peer discussion groups
- Serving as a strategic leader by identifying and incorporating best practices across events and geographies
- Working with other teams at Shoptalk including sponsorship, marketing, design and event logistics to ensure a worldclass experience for all event attendees
- Pitching in wherever is needed to help create a fantastic experience for speakers and attendees across the Shoptalk portfolio
