CMM Inspector / CMM Programmer - Permanent - West Midlands


L & C Consulting are recruiting with a well-known and respected Manufacturing company in Darlaston for a new CMM Inspector to join their large, modern thinking engineering team.

This new permanent position will suit an experienced, CMM Programmer looking for a role on a Monday - Thursday day shift (potential OT Fridays).

Your duties will include (but not be limited to):

  • Programming CMM CNC Mitutoyo machines (working to tight tolerances)
  • Using manual measuring equipment including Micrometres, Protractors and Height Gauges
  • Supporting Production, Quality and Engineering
  • 1stOff and Last Off Inspections
  • Reporting


Experience of working in a similar role is essential and you will ideally have experience of working in automotive and / or aerospace machine shop environments.

You will be hard working and flexible as well as technically astute and able to work under pressure.

You'll be used to working independently and from complex, engineering drawings. A good level of education is also desirable, ideally including with Mechanical Engineering qualifications.

The Darlaston site is fully accessible from around the West Midlands including Cannock, Wolverhampton, Birmingham, Walsall, Lichfield, Dudley, Sandwell, Halesowen etc
