About the Role


MJ Church has a fantastic opportunity for a site agent to Join our team at the Heads of Valleys, working within the Earthworks Division.


Responsibilities

  • Ensure works are delivered inline with contract and programme requirements;
  • Be the main Point of Contact for the area works managers;
  • Be visible on site and actively engage with the workforce;
  • Ensure works are preplanned, and where required, critical activity workshops conducted prior to the commencement of works;
  • Promote continual improvement, with a focus on always presenting a safe and productive working environment;
  • Ensure that Traffic Management & Logistics arrangements are planned and implemented, in advance of area mobilisation;
  • Ensure compliance with MJ Church management system;
  • Assist in the Development of innovative ways in promoting a solid Health & Safety culture and awareness;
  • Manage the development of Safe Systems of works;
  • Be a leader, one that inspires and upskills those around them;
  • Conduct effective monitoring and reporting regimes in line with contract and business requirements;
  • Work closely with our supply chain and clients to promote and deliver excellence;

General Requirements

  • CSCS and Respective NVQ/ competency to aligned field;
  • Earthworks or major projects experience;
  • Commercial and Contract awareness;
  • Heavy Plant understanding and familiarisation;
  • Ability to interpret Construction Programmes;
  • A Leader, one who empowers and inspires those around them;
  • Experience of managing Health, Safety and wellbeing requirements, with a focus on innovating;
  • A pragmatic Problem Solver;
  • Someone who takes pride in what they deliver, focusing on the detail;
  • Be selfmotivated in order to manage and drive individual work load;
  • Be hungry to learn and develop;
  • Give clear and concise information;
  • Full UK Driving license;
  • Minimum of 5 years work experience.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
£54,000.00-£58,000.00 per year


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

  • Merthyr Tydfil CF44: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
